Happy New Year, 2021!

Wishing y’all Health, Happiness, and Prosperity in 2021!

I know that 2020 was a tough year for everyone, me included, but it was also a year that was much needed.

You see, at the beginning of 2020, I decided that I wanted FREEDOM. My idea of freedom was a bit different than what in reality transpired–walking away from a corporate job to fulfill my soul’s purpose. I did and didn’t get that exactly.

I got the freedom to work from home at my corporate job, which has given me the financial security to pursue my passions. It’s given me the freedom in the sense that I’ve gotten more time back–no more traveling to the office, no more rushing around at 8 am in the morning to get out the door. And with that, I’ve gotten a peace of mind, but more importantly–it’s given me the space to figure out exactly what it is I want to do, and what exactly it is that I love doing, as well as heal from certain things.

So while it’s not the year I wanted, going off on Indiana Jones-esque adventures, it’s exactly what I needed.

Looking into 2021, I’m not sure what this year holds at all. I can’t tell the future, but one thing that I can say, is that if my goals were to be wrapped up into one word…it would be…

ACCEPTANCE

My inner voice chose this word for various reasons including accepting situations as they are, accepting the truth of things, and accepting that I’ve been through a lot as a Hard of Hearing individual. Owning my feelings, my past and my present so that I can create a better future. Accepting who I am and what I’m meant to be, and working to align myself with my true values. Accepting that I will fail, but choosing to get up and fight again.

In a way, that’s another form of freedom–one of the soul.

So, what’s one thing that you are hoping to achieve this year? Let me know down below!
