Book Review: One More Rule

What It’s About: Payton and Dominic have returned to Chicago, and are en route to their hotel via the L Train. Dominic flicks Payton on her hip, where she has the matching tattoo that they got to remind themselves of their relationship.

They nap at the hotel, then meet with Logan and Evie for dinner, and for a night out–a joint bachelorette and bachelor party. Logan and Evie tell them that Evie made a rule that there is no nudity or sex until marriage. Payton and Dominic make a bet on who will stay the night without fucking–Logan or Evie.

The group first goes to a drag show. Logan and Evie are blindfolded in the limousine. The next stop is the strip club and they really like one of the strippers because she put such a great show. They have a dance paid for and Evie chooses a librarian looking girl to tempt Logan, and all of them enjoy the show with her. When they ask for the blonde that they all liked, she comes in and soon after, Payton dislikes her attitude. The girl freaks out when she is touched–Payton had accidentally lost her balance and touched the girl while she is giving Dominic a lap dance.

They are kicked out of the club as a result, and they drive around in the limo, while Logan and Evie start making out and undressing with blindfolds on, and Evie decides to have sex with him, but Logan tells her that he wants to respect her and the rules she has in place, so he won’t go through with it.

Evie has her wedding day and gets married to Logan. At the end, she and Logan retire to their honeymoon suite, enjoy time in the tub and have sex.

My Thought: It was a cute novella to bring back all of the characters from the first two books, and I liked to read about Evie and Logan’s wedding day. It was a sweet moment where the two couples, who are both close to each other (Logan and Dominic are best friends, Payton and Evie are best friends), share an unforgettable night to celebrate Evie and Logan’s marriage. I believe that the next novel will be without much interaction with Payton, Evie, Logan or Dominic, so it’s a bit hard saying good-bye to them, but I am curious who else is part of the Blindfold club, and how their love stories turn out.
